Headquartered in the northwest corner of Rhode Island, Pianissimo Piano Service, LLC provides piano tuning, maintenance, and repair services throughout all of Rhode Island, and nearby Massachusetts and Connecticut. Pianissimo is dedicated to tailoring service to meet your piano’s particular needs with transparency, fairness, attention to detail, and lack of drama—everything a quiet little company is well suited to provide.
Meet Pianissimo’s Featured Technician:
My name is Jamie G. Boucher, and while I was born and raised in Rhode Island, the years have found me living in Africa, Europe, and even the fabled Kalamazoo, MI before returning to Rhode Island in 2017. Each phase of my professional life—from small farm management, to library archivist work, to German-to-English document translation, to earning a PhD in Religious Studies—has been rewarding in its own way. But I never found myself able to integrate my lifelong passion, music, into these career paths. Therefore, I decided to turn a decade long hobby into a profession by graduating as a Certified Piano Technician from the Piano Technicians Academy in 2025, and establishing Pianissimo Piano Service, LLC.
I will never experience the satisfaction that comes with being a concert musician or a music teacher. But I’ve learned that there is much satisfaction to be found in helping others be the best musicians they can be by helping their pianos become the best they can be. My work philosophy is inspired by the simple wisdom of the renowned patient and kind Mr. Rogers: “I like to take my time to do it right.” I consider each unique piano to be friend to get to know and work with, rather than a machine to be hurriedly dominated into submission. I know your piano is meaningful to you, and I look forward to giving it the tender loving care it needs.
